7.00am Registration @ Pemberton Backpackers, Cnr Brockman St & Club Rd, Pemberton

Racing Commencing @ Commissaire's discretion

Road Race – Brockman St, Vasse Hwy, North Pemberton Rd, Eastbourne Rd, Vasse Hwy, Brockman St, Club Rd,
Pump Hill Rd, Stirling Rd, Vasse Hwy and return to Brockman St.

  • 8.00am A Grade Men – 100.2km (3 full laps)
  • 8.02am B Grade Men – 74.2km (2 full laps + small loop)
  • 8.04am A Grade Women – 66.8km (2 full laps)
  • 8.06am B Grade Women – 40.8km (1 full lap + small loop)
  • 8.08am C Grade Men - 66.8km (2 full laps)
  • 8.10am U17 Boys - 66.8km (2 full laps)
  • 8.12am D Grade (Novice) Men and Women - 40.8km (1 full lap + small loop)
  • 8.13am Participation Ride (1 full lap)
  • 8.16am U17 Girls - 40.8km (1 full lap + small loop)
  • 8.17am U15 Boys - 40.8km (race of 39.8km) (1 full lap + small loop - a 1km neutral zone before racing starts)
  • 8.20am U15 Girls - 33.4km (1 full lap)
  • 8.25am U13 Boys - 25km (race of 20km) (1 partial lap)
    – Riders do not ride up Pump Hill, instead finish down Brockman St- a 5km neutral zone before racing starts
  • 8.26am U13 Girls - 25km (race of 20km) (1 partial lap)
    – Riders do not ride up Pump Hill, instead finish down Brockman St - a 5km neutral zone before racing starts

Notes:

  • Road Race Distances (33.4km is one full lap)
  • U13 Boys and Girls do not ride up Pump Hill.  Their race will finish going down Brockman St as they return to town.
  • U15 Boys and U13 Boys and Girls have a neutral zone before racing commences (see above).
  • U13 riders will need to be chaperoned by a licenced adult rider.

1.30pm - Prize Presentation with entry from 1pm

Pemberton Classic

 

The 2012 Road Race circuit has not yet been finalised.  However, the route from 2011 is detailed below.

The Road Race will be conducted over a 33.4km circuit with modified distances for specific grades.
The circuit will take in the southern and northern approaches to Pemberton.
This event features the best cycling talent in WA on a challenging circuit.

Riders at the Pemberton Classic

The Road Race commences in the town centre on Club Rd, turning left into Vasse Hwy,
travel through town and turn left into Pemberton North Rd, right into Eastbrook Rd and right into Vasse Hwy.
Once back in town, cycle down Vasse Hwy turning right into Swimming Pool Rd,
turn left at the end of that street onto Pump Hill Rd, at the top of Pump Hill turn left again onto Stirling Track,
turning left onto Vasse Hwy again and back into town.

Each full circuit contains approx 500m of vertical climbing and descent (see course map and elevation profile below).
